There is something bittersweet about the final year of early childhood. One day you’re carrying them into their first classroom, and the next, they are standing on the precipice of “big kid” school. They still have that lingering toddler roundness in their cheeks, but their personalities are blooming into something entirely new.
This is why Kinder Senior portraits have become some of my favorite moments to capture. It’s a dedicated time to hit pause and document who your child is at age five or six.
We often think of professional portraits for newborns and high school seniors, but the years in between move just as fast. A Kinder Senior session isn’t just about a school photo; it’s about an heirloom portrait.

In a world of digital clutter, these sessions are designed with the future in mind. Instead of letting these milestones sit on a hard drive, think about how these images will look on your walls or tucked into a family album.
Imagine your child, ten years from now, looking at a high-quality physical print of themselves from the year they “graduated” from being a little kid. It’s a tangible piece of their history.
The “gap-toothed” stage doesn’t last long! If your little one is finishing up their Kinder year, I’d love to help you create a beautiful piece of art to remember it by.
